Master Class. Topiary “Rosebery Mix” for Mother’s Day or International Women’s Day. DIY birthday gift for mom - three interesting solutions. DIY gift ideas for mom: original and beautiful DIY topiary for her birthday

We will need: red and yellow raffia, pea or corn tin, 2 cm wide polystyrene foam, glue gun, construction plaster, red satin ribbon 0.5 cm wide, wire, decorative ladybugs, yellow sisal, red acrylic paint, decorative sequins, stationery knife, paint brush, pliers, scissors, pencil, sheet of white A4 paper.

1. Using pliers, we bite off 2 pieces of wire, 30 cm each. We dilute the construction plaster and water to the consistency of a liquid slurry and pour it into a tin jar. We insert 2 pieces of wire in the center of the jar and ensure their vertical position until the plaster hardens.

2. Print out the number 10 on paper. If you don’t have a printer, you can attach a sheet of paper directly to the monitor and redraw the numbers. We cut out the numbers with scissors and transfer the template to a piece of foam plastic. Using a stationery knife, cut out the numbers from foam plastic, cover them with acrylic paint and leave to dry.

3. Take one strip of red and yellow raffia, connect them and glue them to the zero with hot glue.

4. Wrap them tightly around the zero.

5. When the raffia is finished, secure its ends with hot glue.

6. Take 2 more strips of raffia of different colors and continue to wrap around the zero. We secure the ends of the raffia again with hot glue.

7. When the zero is completely wrapped, we begin to wrap the one. In order for the total strip to be equal in width to the thickness of the number, 7 strips were needed here. We place these strips in such a way that the colors alternate and glue them with hot glue.

8. Glue strips of raffia to the bottom of the number.

9. Cut off the excess part with scissors.

10. Again, take 2 strips of raffia of different colors and glue their ends to the bottom of the unit.

11. We begin to wrap the unit.

12. Wrap the entire number tightly.

This is what our numbers look like.

13. Roll the wire into a spiral. This way she will look more beautiful. Take a spray can or some appropriately shaped object and wrap a wire around it.

14. Take out the jar and pull the wire up a little by the end. We perform similar actions with the second piece of wire.

15. Pull out the second piece.

16. Glue our numbers to the ends of the wire using hot glue.

18. Wrap the middle of the jar with yellow raffia, and the top with red raffia again.

19. Wrap the wire with a red satin ribbon and secure the ends of the ribbon with hot glue.

20. Decorate the top of the jar with yellow raffia. Carefully glue the sisal using hot glue.

21. Trim the excess sisal with scissors.

It’s not for nothing that topiary or a European tree is called the tree of happiness. This souvenir brings a special atmosphere to the house, and they say it tends to help make cherished desires come true. Therefore, such trees are often given as gifts for birthdays, weddings, and marriage anniversaries. And in order for the tree to attract financial well-being to the house, you can (and should) put coins in the pot. Figuratively folded various souvenir bills are sometimes attached to the branches of the tree.

The photo gallery is replete with examples of such souvenirs: there are simpler examples that even a beginner can quickly make, and there are trees that will take more than one day to work on. Or you can choose an example for inspiration and follow it.

You can make original topiaries with your own hands.

Corrugated paper flowers

Such unrealistically beautiful flowers can decorate the crown of a tree. Working with corrugated paper is simple - it is cut into small pieces, from which petals are then made. The paper stretches well, giving volume to the petals. They are connected with threads or glue into one bud. Thus, the crown of a tree can be decorated with lush crimson roses, delicate milky peonies, lilac asters and fiery poppies. Just inspiration, not work.

Music paper roses

Another type of original souvenir - paper flowers can be unusual, fragile, delicate and very beautiful. Likewise, roses made from music paper look a little vintage, strict, but very elegant. You can make a tree with such roses in black with your own hands in a few hours. Staged photos with such a souvenir look incredibly stylish.

Crown of cones

A trendy souvenir on the eve of Christmas. In this case, the cones can be decorated. There are different methods: you can paint the cones with white and light blue gouache, then go over them with PVA glue on a soft sponge, and immediately sprinkle coarse sea salt on top. Or you can simply transform the pine cones with spray paint - golden or silver.

Candy crown

Of course, you can’t eat these candies afterwards, but the effect is worth it, and the aroma will be appropriate. In the photo you can see what such a tree looks like. Round, flat lollipops are the best option. They are fixed to the base ball with a glue gun.

The most interesting thing is that the more samples of souvenir trees you see, the more photos you look at, ideas come to you. This can be used as inspiration for new DIY projects.

The simplest do-it-yourself topiary

Coffee topiary is rightfully considered one of the simplest. It’s not difficult to make: judge for yourself, all you need is a pot, a rod for the barrel (a thick pencil), a base ball, coffee beans and various decorative things.

Coffee tree ideas:

  • Usually the grains are left whole without performing any additional manipulations with them. But you can paint them! Even a golden spray will transform the tree.
  • Used as a pot ordinary coffee cup. Or not the usual one, but something asymmetrical, or with a funny inscription, or maybe with your signature recipe for brewing coffee.
  • If such a tree If you are going to give it to someone, decorate the top layer in the pot (cup) with artificial grass or glitter.

A special case is the so-called floating cup. Look at the photo how impressive it looks. The stream of aromatic drink is the frame on which the cup rests.

Creative topiary: new ideas

You can make a very beautiful New Year's topiary from Christmas balls with your own hands. Buy a couple of sets of small Christmas balls, preferably the same color. There are many balls on sale made from dense materials that will not break the first time they fall.

The technique is clear - you will attach the balls one by one to the blank ball with a glue gun. Particularly creative craftsmen can carefully place flat souvenir snowflakes, beads, and bugles into the spaces between the balls. Well, the trunk of such a New Year’s tree should match the color of the balls. If the balls, for example, are blue, then the barrel should not go out of this color scheme.

Unusual do-it-yourself topiary

You won’t find many examples of souvenir trees – natural materials, fluff, flowers, and candies are used.

Perhaps the following ideas will help you make very creative topiaries with your own hands:

  • Colored pasta. Why not an idea? Paint the curly pasta in your favorite color, and now the crown of the tree will take on a very original look.
  • Shells. In memory of a holiday at sea - a wonderful option. Just decorate both the trunk and the pot in the same style.
  • Acorns and nuts. An autumn version of a tree, near which a miniature souvenir squirrel can nest.
  • Burlap and beads. Requires complex weaves, almost jewelry work. Often used for thematic photo shoots, ideas are complemented by braid and lace. The photo looks impressive.
  • Knitted heart. Isn't this an unusual crown? And you will find just the right frame for your handicraft.

They also use gears, scatterings of old beads, pompoms, cuttings of ribbons, etc.

We have been thinking for a long time about what to please our mothers for Mother's Day. I wanted to give my children a gift that would delight them with its brightness. The choice fell on making topiary. And we called it “Tree of Happiness”. I think the name justified our work. I would like to present a master class for making crafts.
From colored paper
I'll cut out a piece.
I will make it out of him
Little flower.
Gift for mom
I'll cook.
The best
I have mom!

Progress:

1.Take old newspapers or scrap papers and crumple them to create a step shape. Then we wrap it with thread so that our work retains its shape.

2. The second step will be to make a leg for our tree. We take any old pencil and wrap it with woolen thread of any color of the children’s choice.

The barrel is ready.

3. Now it needs to be secured in the stand. We take a used yogurt cup, fill it with plaster of Paris and set our pencil straight. Leave for a day to completely harden.

4. Let’s not waste any time and start making flowers. And we make them from multi-colored napkins or colored corrugated paper. By the way, I must say that the latter makes the flowers more vibrant. We fold the napkin in several layers into a square, connecting the middle with a bracket.

Using scissors, turn the square into a circle.

5. We make cuts in a circle.

6. And then what children really like to do is fluff our circles and they turn into charming chrysanthemums.

7. The plaster in the cup has frozen, and we make a puncture in the paper ball and secure it to a pencil.

8. And now the fun begins. Using glue, we decorate the crown of our tree with ready-made flowers. Here the imagination of children knows no bounds.

9. And the last, finishing touch. Using the trimming technique, we decorate the grass at the base of our tree.

10. Look what we got.

Topiary "Coffee tree"

Classroom teacher:

M.N. Anchugova.

Target: making topiary from coffee beans.

Tasks:

- will introduce you to historydevelopment of topiary;
- develop aesthetic taste;

Teach manufacturing technology;

Instill labor and accuracy skills.
Purpose: Coffee topiary is a wonderful decoration for the interior of an apartment, an original hand-made gift for loved ones.

Coffee beans are by far the most popular material for creating topiary. They look quite chic, bring happiness to the home, and have a unique coffee aroma that creates an atmosphere of warmth and comfort.

Topiary is a man-made decorative tree. Now it is made from various natural materials and improvised means. This art originated in ancient Rome. The first topiaries were skillfully pruned trees in the gardens of Roman patricians. Gardeners gave the crowns of plants bizarre shapes, thereby creating the likeness of statues and other decorative items.

In its development, topiary has gone through many changes: the modest and painstaking work of nuns in medieval monasteries, decorative trees created on a grand scale in the Renaissance, gardens and labyrinths in Holland and England in the 17th century, etc.

Today, topiary is an incredibly popular souvenir. A tree made from coffee beans, in addition to visual pleasure, brings olfactory pleasure. After all, even after processing, the grains continue to smell, filling the room with a wonderful aroma and creating a cozy atmosphere.

I, as a class teacher, decided to invite my fifth-graders to make a topiary “Coffee Tree” with their own hands and give it to their mothers.

The main material in the production of coffee trees is, of course, coffee beans.

We purchased Arabica coffee beans (several bags); the base is a plastic ball (We took plastic balls from the “dry pool”);

trunk - bamboo sticks for flowers;

a pot or plastic glass (“sippy cup” also works well);

solution for fixation (used alabaster);

water;

glue gun and glue sticks;

ribbon, decor for decoration;

scissors;

Making coffee tree:

We connect the base of the crown (ball) and the trunk (bamboo stick), (we make a hole in the ball to insert the tree trunk);

Wrap the trunk with tape (string);

We cover the coffee topiary with our own hands with coffee beans;

The base is applied to the glue in two layers. By the way, about glue. Don’t overthink it, ordinary PVA glue will cope with this task.

Divide the grains into two parts. Those that are worse and smaller will go to the bottom layer. And from the most beautiful ones you need to make an elegant top layer. Using a glue gun, firmly glue the grains to each other so that there are no gaps.

When the crown is ready, you can make the trunk. We wrap the stick for the trunk with tape (string);

Prepare the soil: pour a small volume of water into a container, add alabaster. Pour it into the pot, insert the tree in the center and let the mixture harden. When the surface is dry, cover it with coffee or other materials.

After the entire topiary is covered with grains, you need to dry it;

This is what we got!

All mothers were pleased with their children's gift!
